S Borovick's was established in its present location by the current managing director's grandfather, Solomon Borovick in 1932. Having survived war damage, the company continued to supply the public and wholesale trade. The founder's sons Harry and Max Borovick continued to develop the business. Borovick's present managing director, Martyn Borovick joined the family business in 1958. Over the years, the company gradually withdrew from supplying the wholesale dress trade. It has increased its business with the public and also specializes in supplying fabrics for theatre, opera, television and film; costumes and sets. 'Borovicks' maintain a worldwide reputation and clientele based on its friendly, helpful and efficient service.
