I started collecting period clothes in 1969 due to the influence of a teacher at Croydon College of Art. Suzanne Adams would bring in examples of vintage clothes and they would be worn by students and we discussed the fabrics, cut etc.

Regular trips to Antique shops and Markets turned up feather court fans, 20's shoes, photographs and textiles.
